Description & Specs

Tool includes: 6 7/8″ blade. However 6 1/2″ blade also work fine with this circular saw. Metal Cutting Saw, 6320-20, cuts all types of metals such as uni-strut, galvanized pipe, metal studs and black pipe, as well as Hardi-Plank and Durock materials.

The saw uses a standard 5/8 in. arbor and has a 2-1/8 in. maximum depth of cut. The blade spins at 3,200 RPM and has an electric brake for quick, repetitive cutting.

The clear guard provides an excellent line of sight for cutting and the rugged construction provides long, trouble-free operation.

I purchased this saw as a bit of an unknown. Seemed that it might be useful IF it worked as expected. No way – it’s MUCH MUCH better than I could have imagined. First cuts through 1.25 inch thick wall tubing. No fuss, no effort, NO SPARKS.

What can I say, it’s a slick little unit and does what it claims to do. I initially bought one saw. But after pricing out what a spare blade would cost, I ordered up a second saw from Tool King. It worked out as cheap, if not cheaper than buying the the blade by itself. Both shipments came with a saw, blade, safety glasses & believe it or not, a CASE! No complaints at all with Tool King. Like the other reviewer, I initally considered purchasing from DAMLOW PRICES as they were a few bucks cheaper than Tool King when you added in the shipping. Ultimately due to Tool King’s higher positive rating here & on Ebay, I chose them. I’m glad that I did. By the way, the saws that I received from Tool King came with a 36 tooth 6-7/8″ metal cutting blade that uses a 20mm arbor. If you want to use a blade with a 5/8″ arbor, you can order a new set of inner/outer blade flanges for a couple of bucks from EReplacement Parts. These are the same ones used on the Milwaukee 6310-20 Cordless Circular Saw.

i was mildly annoyed that the saw i ordered didn’t come with a case, so i bought this case for it. it does exactly what it is supposed to do which is protect the saw.

It may be big but the saw really needed to be stored in a case. All big tools need to be in a case just to make transporting them around a lot easier and safer. The box is well built and the saw fits like a glove. There’s even some room to stash a couple of blades. My saw is not new and didn’t come with a case with the new ones is saw in Home Depot today (bummer)…

Complaints are overblown. I’ve used this for framing, fencing and decking without significant problems — just a bit of fettling prior to each use.

Depth adjustment is by a WEIRD post-mount system — never saw such a BIZARRE thing before. It’s imperfect, but I can’t suggest a better way to rigidly fix the position of blade-to-saw and get every bit of blade exposed for the deepest cuts.

Gauge of the base plate is a trade-off on weight (& balance) vs. durability. If I felt I couldn’t rely on it, I’d have a steel plate base fabricated and fitted, but so far it works great.

Careful setup and periodic realignment are VITAL for accuracy on this beast (esp. as to pitch of cut — that post-mount can shift), but take no real time once you learn the saw. [Hint: Take five minutes and fabricate a calibration slot block to keep the blade perpendicular to the base while tightening that crazy post-mount. Make extra calibration blocks for all angles you routinely use. Add a wide stand slot beside the blade calibration slot to provide a base to set the saw on between cuts, rather than dropping it on the ground to warp the plate, gall the plate and knock the saw out of alignment. Stop being a lazy, whinny dummy.]

I also use the Makita 5402NA 16-15/16″ saw and the Skil HD5860 wormdrive 8-1/5″ (as well as other great Bosch, Makita and Porter-Cable saws). Each one, like this, is a 5-star NICHE tool but only a 4-star GENERAL tool. Savvy?

if you need it buy it. it is a good cutting saw.. if you need to cut over 3 inches deep this is the best deal out there..
